Went to scout Jury's and there were about 10 people out in nuclear conditions. 4.0 to 3.7 was the order of the day. Drove to the dunes and rigged a 4.5 as flat as I could and braved the walk to the water. About 5 people out and actually the wind was more manageable than I thought it was going to be. The launch was fine but some of the waves were huge - way, way over head. General concensus was that mast high waves were fairly regular out to the back. Great fun, and all my wipeouts were quite soft.

Fantastic day, real sense of achievement in dealing with the conditions and it didn't feel as dangerous as it probably was!
